i have sent the updated version to pwiz for posting. he may have some peeps test it first before it is posted. i increased the time that it "captures" the addresses and hopefully this will help with those computers who are having problems.

a couple things about this game

1) microsoft appears to have some sort of scanning of the game .exe to check for changes in it. therefore we are having to do our work without changing the .exe. not so easy!

2) vista has built-protection to avoid programs writing to each other's memory. see below for work around-

3) this game also had debugging protection built-in to it, which makes it difficult to reverse the game and see how it works. this is likely the reason that cracking groups have not "cracked" the game and made copies of it on the net or even a no-dvd crack. i doubt you will see many other trainers for this game but it's not impossible, just difficult.

4) our trainers for this game and any other game are NOT meant to be used online and it's doubtful that these hacks even work online, although i have not tested it. however, if you try it online and get kicked or the game crashes or microsoft bans you from their services or resets your accounts, you have been WARNED.

VISTA NOTES REGARDING THIS TRAINER AND OTHER TRAINERS!

Vista has alot of built-in protections which is a good thing. However it is not helpful to trainers since it blocks trainer programs from writing to the memory of another program (such as a game). Therefore
you have to take some steps to allow Vista to let your trainer do it's magic. So follow the following steps:

1) right click on the trainer .exe and select Properties
2) select the Compatability tab
3) check mark "Run this program as administrator" under Privilege Level
4) click Apply and then OK

This will allow your trainer to have the "rights" to write to the game's memory. Otherwise you may hear the sounds that the trainer is working but will not see the effects! This is very important.

for me all i had to do was set the trainer to allow "run this program as administrator". i made no other changes and it worked fine. also it didn't matter if i ran the trainer first or alt-tabbed out and ran the trainer later.

hopefully this will work better for you. if you aren't modifying your trainer .exe priveledges then it won't work, so make sure you are doing that!

plz let us know ALSO if it works for you, not just if it doesn't work. we like to hear the positive comments. there were what appears to be over 1000 downloads and so there must be many users that are using the trainer with no problems.

I've just uploaded the updated trainer. Please let us know if this fixes any problems people are having with the update or if we need to look into it further. Thanks everyone for your patience as we continue to learn more about training Vista-exclusive titles.

Works now... finally, but it still somewhat unstable and tends to crash periodically

I'm glad we got it working for you. Unfortunately with this game, the tradeoff for increased compatibility is decreased stability. Once we determine that this version works for everyone, we may release another with more stability. Thanks for the feedback.

Works well, no crash...

Works fine, just the odd crash but I have no problems with it.
Other then my video card drivers crashing

Thanks for the new Trainer 1.03.129. It works well. I am enjoying using it on Heroic mode. I can do the Easy and Normal Modes without the trainer. The Herioc mode is a little bit too hard for me without some help like a trainer. I enjoy using it just to see what extras have been added to the campaign.
