You have to press l and r but of course you have to have battled them before and they are where they were when you first caught them.

Also once you catch it leave that place press it again go back and another will be there.

If you do not leave and press it then go to the pokemon which it will not be there click where it is supposed to be it will appear in battle catch it click yes or no to nickname the pokemon when tou are done naming it if you do it will turn black and freeze. (a bad egg) So be careful you have been warned.
