Trainer Tools and Resources
My Spidey-3 retail game isn't accepting the trainer despite my following the instructions (at least I *think* I followed them). I've got WinXP (SP2) and I'm just wondering if anyone has any more specific ideas than the general guidelines already posted on this site. For what it's worth, I can't get ANY trainer I've found to work with this game; it's not just the one posted here. I'm not sure how to tell whether or not my system automatically patched my game upon install, but I don't *think* it did. It seems I'm running version 126.96.36.199 (with a timestamp of April 20, 2007), in case that's worth anything.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
I also have the Ultimate Spider-Man game by Activision and that one works with a trainer just fine. I doubt the engines are even close to being the same, but I thought I'd throw it out there.
Have you tried using the no-cd fix with your game to see if it makes a difference? Sometimes the copy protection can interfere with the trainer's memory injections.
