Hi, I am new to this game and I am old. I wish to quick start and speed up my learning curve. May I know what controllers do you use? Keyboard? Game pads? steering wheels? At first I thought in order to do those wonderful drifts which i see on youtube, you need the Logitech G25 steering wheels. but i saw a kid drifting like crazy at a shop using just the game pads. So please....tell me what you pros are using? I will then go buy one to train. thanks!!! jack

Well it depends on your style really. For me, i am used to playing racing games on the PS2, so it was really difficult for me to get used to PC controlls.
if you are used to playing console games or handhelds (playstaion, xbox, nintendo ds) then i would probably get a steering wheel. but if you are fine with computers you should prbably just stick with a keyboard or joystick.
if you are used to playing console games but your not used to the steering wheel, then try finding a Xbox or Playsation controller that is compatible with the PC. They are a little rare but they are specially designed for playing on the PC.

hi...thanks for the prompt reply i am currently using the wireless rumblepad 2 i doubt i will ever master the drifts using the keyboards. do you use the steering wheels? how are steering wheels compared to rumblepads? I thought of getting the G25 steering wheel... but I also fear that being not as nimble as you guys, i may not necessary perform better, bec now i have to change gears and turn the wheel at the same time.

well the way i use it on PC is use a PC controller or a steering wheel. But, i managed to finish the game using the keyboard and its kinda easy, but when i started career again, i used either the steering wheel or the controller cozz i thought it was quite handy and fun!

yeah, thats true, it'll be much more easier, but if ur a person who likes challenging stuff, then use the keyboard or the steering wheel

i don't get it how do u all think keyboards are challanging?
jeez! there's never been invented a more easier controller than the keyboard. mine is A4Tech
i also had a Trust steering wheel but it's busted it shakes like an old man was driving the car. and didn't managed to play much with it cos it got busted really quickly though
the REAL challange for me is the ps2 gamepads. if u give me a keyboard i know which key to press with my eyes closed, but if u give me a gamepad i'm tottaly lost, cos i don't know which button belongs to a command
