It's been almost a week now since i asked about this and still I haven't gotten any response. Would someone please tell me how to get the console working in order to use the cheat codes? I know the instructions say to go to a file where the game is installed called Local INI, but I can not find this file. I tried editing the WE file and nothing happened and I'm a little lost. Neither the Data folder or any of the others seem to have the required INI file. Just where is this thing located? I can use the trainer to play campaign games but the only way to get skirmish maps to work is to use Multi player maps. I can do this without actually getting on the internet, but the trainer goes sour when I try using it here. What I can't figure out is why the publishers list a spot for Custom Game and this doesn't work. Oh well I guess I wasted $39.95 for a game that could have been bought at Wal-Mart or one of the other discount stores for the usual $29.95 or $19.95 a little later on.

For me this file is located in the install directory/Sparta folder. There is the local.ini file and then a folder for scripts in the folder, nothing else. You might try changing your resolution settings or other game options, it may not create the file unless you do.

Thanks Wiz. Here is what I find when I open the Play Logic, Ancient Wars folder. The first three across the top are Data, Modules, Sparta, of course there's a lot more below these but I hope these are the important ones. When I open Data all I get is Inbox and Splash, The modules folder has a lot of things such as Dare.dll, Debughelp.dll, localization.dll and so on. In the Sparta folder when I open it, I get Local configuration Settings, and in this is Menu, d_error_silent_mode and several spaces later 1. Then below this there is Render r_fullscreen 1 followed by r_width 1280 r_height 1024. Of course there is a lot more in the other folders, too much to list here but nothing like you mentioned and what is supposed to be there. I wonder if the error in Local Config settings is causing this. I never have been able to get a Custom Game to initialize in Single Player either though Multiplayer mode works fine and can be played without even getting on the internet but, will not allow use of the trainer you did. If this helps you to figure out anything further that might be wrong please let me know. And list some of the other settings I can change besides resolution. I'm just a poor lil ole half smart computer operator and, stay lost on a lot of these things.
