Why not Pokemon avatars? It's more popular now due to Pearl/Diamond.

i think that they should make more avatarsfor free members because until we get to be an author or unlimited member we dont have alot to choose from

it's meant to encourage you to upgrade your status. there are over 200 more avatars if you upgrade to unlimited.
