Currently in 4th gym. Pokemon with higher levels were likely used in gyms. Staravia and Luxio specifically. Going to evolve my Prinplup (which is really just my HM pokemon after I realized it's movepool sucks). Then level up my Happiny as a shield for healing my other pokemon.

And Prinplup actually does have a good moveset, and it can learn a ton of TM's.

Luxios are very good, especially when it evolves into a Luxary.

I just got my 8th badge. I got Dialga, Uxie, Mesprit, & Azelf. Has to use my Master Ball on Mesprit. Im gonna go for the Elite Four after I train my team some more.

How hard is it to find Mespirit? Just randomly find him in the grass? And does he run away after awhile? I'd say it's a wise choice to use the master ball on him.

Its hard. You have to use the Marking Map Poketech to see where it is. But it runs away after the first turn. Which makes it fustrating. I got Uxie and Azelf with Dusk Balls though.

the team i used to beat pokemon pearl was

Rapidash
Gastrodon( pink version)
Roserade
Lucario
all of them were around level 65. it is the perfect, balanced
team that covers for each others type ( gastrodon even knows ice beam and rapidash knows toxic).
