Well, first you have to think that he is a piece of because he is one. Apart from his car, everything about him is bad. his laugh is freaky. So, you first start with an easy city race. You just have to beat that, then you get to the "Challenging" canyon. I suggest you to first stay close to him and then sacrifise 5000 points by knocking him off the canyon. Kaput for him, victory for you!!!

How does that do justice to the question? A 50 mark question. "His laugh is freaky" doesn't really help you to beat Darius.

To beat Darius, first on the city race, you should go full speed ahead. You have to take all the shortcuts like he does. You should also use a 4WD car on both races. Since he has one 4WD too, he can get out faster from the corners than he gets in. On the canyon race, you should brake wen you need and absolute NO drifting because you can lose distance. You should ram his car wen you need but dont get your car out of control, or it's a dead end. And on the 2nd part make sure you brake in the right time so you can gain distance. I would sugest you to use the Lamborghini Gallardo. Another way to defeat him is the dangerous way, were you should risk a lot, and try to usurpass him. But personally, i would not suggest you to do that.

Darius can be pretty easy IF you have the right car.

Basically, your pretty much if you don't pass him at the first turn, unless you have beaten a Canyon Race with only about 90k points!!

If you want to take a risk, and do it quickly, then choose the Dodge Viper SRT 10 (or Corvette), with all acceleration, torque, low RPM, Back bias brakes, understeer suspension and grip tyres. Then at the first turn (will take awhile) hard brake, then accelerate right in front of Darius and block him from passing you back.

Or, don't risk a thing, and use PURE SKILL with a Lamborgini Gallardo.

BTW, I used the first one with a Viper.

First of all, I used the Lancer Evo to beat him, so I'll sorta write parts of the walkthrough on that point.

The first race is a race against Kenji, Wolf, and Angie, the three leaders of the three main crew's you already conquered by this point. Like I'll suggest for most city races, right as you enter the race, slam acceleration and NOS to get a big boost into the lead, so your assured of a better chance of winning. This race is probably one of the easiest city boss races because of them only being Darius's 'crew members'. You realy shoul'nt have many problems with this race unless you REALLY suck at NFS:C.

The second race will be much more challenging, as it's a canyon sprint, like you've already done multiple times in each of the territories. But it is harder because your opponents all have top class cars. Like I said before, use your NOS right at the beginning to get a good lead right away, and make sure not to hit too many walls, because it WILL slow you down enough for them to get an opening and pass you. This is why I used a tuner to do this.

In the city race against Darius, right at the beginning of the race, again I suggest you slam on the nos and acceleration to get a comfortable lead on him. Most of the time he'll just laugh his head off and look ugly in the race but don't worry, cause your better than him. You should be able to win this one easily enough, if you stay very focused and dodge all cars/pursuit breakers.

Now this is going to be the hardest race of the game, so make sure to just do a test run before actually doing the race, as you will be able to find many of his few weaknesses. In this race, sadly you can't use NOS, so that makes it a mile harder. There are many ways to win a canyon race: Finishing both stages with the most points, Overtaking the opponent (passing him for more than 10 seconds), pushing the opponent off the rail, or having him be more than 100 meters behind you for more than 10 seconds. The easiest way, by far is to overtake him, so do so. If you have a tuner, like I suggested, preferably the Lancer Evo, you should be able to overtake him by about half way through the race, where he starts to lose a bit of speed due to the sharper turns. Take these chances and touch the handbrake lightly to turn abit harder and run infront of him. Make sure to be directly infront of him, and make sure he doesn't have a chance to pass you for 10 seconds. If you manage this, then you FINALLY beat the game.

*** Note that he has a 4wd (four wheel drive) car, wich gives him a slight advantage against any car wich doesn't have great handling and turning power.

*** Also note that he is stronger on corners than the average car, so he will turn quicker and get out of the corner at the same speed he went in with, (after he slowed down for the corner, he wont slow down any more than he did at that point, but he may come out faster).

*** A strategy with muscle cars (best to use the Corvette Z06) is to overtake him BEFORE the first corner, and keep you lead on that corner. In other words, make sure you stay on the inside of the turn, like he always does.

*** Another strategy for Exotics is to fallow him closely, as long as you can, then overtake him near the middle of the race, like I suggested for the Tuners. The best car for this would be the Lamborghini Gallardo, even though thats a very expensive car. The Gallardo is also a 4wd car.
