Ok.
My dog wont learn its name. It wont come when i call it. how do i make it work?????????????????
please help!

I'll help.

If the dogs not learning its name, the following reasons may apply:
1. The dog hasn't calm down yet.
2. Your not patient enough.
OR
3. The dog doesn't understand.

To solve this you can:
1. Pet the dog until the message 'The dogs seems to of calmed down alot'
2. Keep trying, it will eventually learn.
OR
3. Don't stand to close, if you do it'll come out crackly or distorted (maybe), or you can lower sensitivity. You may also have to make it's name simplier eg. If you dogs name is Samuel try calling it Sam.

Dogs don't respond to voice command when you don't say it exactly how you said it to when it was learning, this rule doesn't apply to calling the dogs name. They'll never respond to that, try tapping the stylus on the dog until it comes.

I have done ALL of that.
I went through training.
deleted that dog and got a new one (friend said 2!)
the dogs name isnt hard-its DAISY!
and i had a different nintendogs game but i kinda broke it lol... and yeah

the dog has calmed down it only took 3 tries to learn her name and i am trying HARD!

Either I posted to late, your game is gonna up or it is up.

The games command program, like all other games with simular technology on the DS, can only work if that dog recognizes the voice (like in real life). I it is not said in the exact same way, it will not work

Besides, the dogs name is useless, just target the dog (by pressing it's icon) and a camera will be shown (meaning you have locked on). Then simply tap on the touch screen with the stylus (or anything) and it will eventually come to you

I works now. I guess shadowfox was right i neeed more patience. My dog can sit, shake, and lie down by command now!yay!

Maybe your dog doesn't like the name you're giving it. Just simply keep trying or try giving it another name.
If not give it a stupid name, get rid of it and buy another dog. If you do, the dog you'll buy will probably be a lot smarter and will learn its name easily.
