omg. well, u can always try re-installing nfs carbon. don't worry, ur game progress won't go away. so, after u re-install it, u can then try installing that patch. ALSO...maybe some backround programs are completely you up. so, in order to stop them, open the task manager (ctrl+alt+del, and if you do not have the welcome screen, click on 'task manager' in the window), click on the processes tab, and click on 'user name.' this will sort everything under usernames, and then UNDER UR NAME click on the processes that are NOT EXPLORER.EXE OR TASKMGR.EXE!!! and then, until all of the processes under ur name are closed except those that are in bold above, u can now try installing that patch. hopefully that works!
