S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl Message Board  

Hey this question is for those of you who have done the arena, do you remember when you had to fight the stalker with only a knife? He had a badass gun, now i'm guessing this is the kind of weapon that they didn't actually make accessible to us but I haven't beaten the game yet so i'm wondering if anyone knows if this gun is hidden or they give it to you after you beat the game, any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks again.

If you look at the gamedata/config/weapon files, all the gun are available in the trader mod. There isn't anymore special guns. The modified weapon file in misc only has slight adjustment to accuracy and damage clip size. Nothing new here.
I wish this game would include a lapua magnum/.50cal sniper rifle but it doesn't, I have to live with that.

GRIMW in that fight you have knife and 4 hand grenades as well. Use them

oh i had no problem killing him, that gun is just so hot and really wanted to get my hands on it.

I think that the gun you're looking for is the FT-200M (IRL it's a FN-F2000) - it's the last assault rifle you can get in the game (from Monolith guys inside the Chernobyl NPP).

Personally, I'm trying to figure out how to get the mission from Freedom to go get the "Farshooter" Dragunov SVD, which I don't intend to turn over over to the questgiver..

Hey A SVD Dragunov is not that bad! It has a decent power too.....

Actually, there is one of that "badass gun" in Yantar.

Before you wander into lab, go upstair, look carefully, and you will find one lying on the floor.

I found this first in Oblivion Lost 2.2, then I tried the original version, it's still there.

Somehow I thought that FT-200M is not as good as G36... Personal opinion
