in the beginning of the palace of the fates how in the world do you get to the platforms and ledges. tried to jump and glide but i keep dying. help!!!

I'm still not totally sure where you are. Did you just finish the Atlas stage and are you still on his hand (in front of the Palace of the Fates)?
If so, you can jump and glide to the lower platform to the right or look for the climbable portion on the left platform and glide to it. Kratos will cling on to the climbable portion. The left platform has a chest.
