well anyways you should have found a sonic emiter in the facility, that kills the sharks for you.

Wow...
Yeah, just get the sonic emiter thingy...you can find it in two parts of the underwater base.
Wait until the sharks are really close though, then fire away.

Exactly what darkish said...just move the D-Pad over in your inventory at the bottom, it's the only one highlighted...press it when their close, there's 4 of them here I think...

It should be on the corspe of a dead scientist or something like that. The really neat thing is, if you leave once you get it, you can use it to emitt your saber(s) instead of the Y button (X key on PC)
