ok ok whenever i am gonna download a map i do this: dowload map unzip file place it in the addon folder go to the game...BUT ITS NOT THERE PLZ tell me how u do this STEP BY STEP

Download the file, open it unzip the 3 lettered folder like "JKA". Save it in the Local Disc C, Program Files, LucasArts, Star Wars Battlefront II, GameData, directory, then make sure the folder name is addon make sure the name is EXACTLY addon nothing else no caps or anything just addon, plain ol' addon.
