To get passed 4 star what sword/armor should i use?

Not really. Just get used to tactics and sh*t. To get the 5* urgent quest do most of the 4* quests, these are the ones I did:
- Kill Rathalos
- Capture Rathalos
- Rathian (desert)
- Rathian (forest and hills)
- Kill 3 Iodrome
- Kut ku
If there isn't an urgent quest still do the Rathian (pink) Jungle/ swamp, it's easy

Me and Dukerocks r trying 2 kill the khazu in the guild. Any advice?

Yeah, use a Fire Element weapon, his weakest, he goes down fast with my Blazing Falcion. And if this is the one in the swamp, bring some hot drinks, and wait for him in area 11 (the cave) and if he moves, he's going to area 7 (another cave) that's why you need hot drinks cuase your stamina will go down fast with the cold caves
