[OK, I will try one of the Tuners Tier 3 cars:
Lancer Evolution IX MR, 350Z, Skyline GTR R34,Impreza WRX STI,or Supra. Indeed the handling for this cars is very good like a top exotic car, but the worst part is: acceleration and the top speed, which is incomparable with a top exotic car: like lambo, porsche, slr cars that can be compared at this two points with le mans.
And in the Canyon race the acceleration is as important as the handling.

But I will try first the Skyline GTR R34, from how I understood in your last reply would be the best.

Regarding the second problem with Vista, I've done some research on the net and I discovered that if you set the compatibility for win98 on the nfsc.exe file it will run perfectly.

I've tried that and it worked, but you need at leat 1024MB memory to play the game smooth.]

Get the Dodge Viper SRT 10 or the Lamborgini Gallardo. Also you should have, Suspension, understeer, tyres, grip, brakes normal. The Supercharge, Engine and Transmission depend on the class. Muscles: Acceleration types. Exoctics: Top speed types

Yes but she/he clearly stated that she/he doesnt have a lot of money. Now you can understand why we're hellbent on the lucrative, but possible, idea of beating Darius with a tuner.

listen up all! the best way to finish the career with only 2 cars to buy is this:
1.in the challange series screen check 1 of the gold checkpoint that unlocks 1992 nissan 240sx and finish it
2.in career mode buy the '92 240sx(it's only 20k, the cheapest car ever), tune the 240 sx ONLY at performance parts!nothing else(do the races that give u the best performance package directly,don't waste time with other junk, just to save money and time). race with it until u reach to race with tier 3 cars(don't worry u can win the races with tier 2)
4.complete a few races u can with the 240sx until it unlocks the canyon race with kenji and his evo 9 to unlock the evo.
5.buy the evo and again win the races that give the race packages directly
6.win all the races instantly! what the hell? with the evo u can also beat darius faster than u'd like to think.

this trick saved me enough money to complete the reward cards "career mogul". i had over 1 million money to spent on
and by the way try and win the bosses cars to have some backup cars
if u ain't lucky in hitting the card with the pink slip then press ctrl+alt+del and close nfs. enter again the game and do the race again(well...if u'r eager to do it until u hit the right card). i myself did this and it worked just fine!
