The zoom functionality is real cool and all, but I was just wondering if there was a way of using spacebar to achieve a real close view of your units and keeping that angle or any other way to get a more traditional rts view

i dont think there is, Spacebar is to be used for nicer screenshots and video's and the like, not to change the view.
