Trainer Tools and Resources
I downloaded the new patch for SupCom (since I wanted to play multiplayer) and also downloaded your 1.0.3217 trainer. When I am using it, after hearing the "option activated" voice and then I go to queue up units, if I queue 3 or more or queue 1 with a repeated build order, they do not build instantly (I do have instant build on). Inf. mass & energy work fine. I am in the UEF first campaign mission on hard when this happened.
Hardware Specs:
Asus Crosshair
AMD Athlon 64 FX-62 2.8 GHz
2 GB OCZ RAM
2 x 150 GB Raptors
Foxconn NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX
Software Specs:
Windows XP Professional - English/USA - Up-to-date
AVG Free 7.5
Oh and also, just a stupid little question I guess: this trainer won't work in multiplayer right? Err...I mean it isn't legal right?
Thanks for your help. I love the trainer!!!!!!
EDIT @ 4:59 AM EST on 2/24/07: Also when I try to click and drag to make either wall structures or turrets or probably any other type of buildable item, those do not build instantly either.

EDIT 2: Just found out when you click on the unit that is building whatever you clicked and dragged, it then instantly builds what you dragged.

Whats the point? If training this game was that hard, it would have been ten times easier just to make a simple lua script for each faction, zip it up into the mod.scd file and then upload that.
Doing it this way will avoid any crashes that might come up from training/hacking the exe file and you wouldn't have to change anything after a patch if done right.
For campaign mode, a little more work is involved as you would have to edit each unit/building for each faction. The best part about this is there is no reason to mess with the units.scd file.
Example: You download UEF.zip, within this zip file contains the folders for every UEF unit building which has been edited. You then simple unzip all those folders to "C:\Program Files\THQ\Gas Powered Games\Supreme Commander\units\unitname\ The game will then scan and use these file before using the ones contained within the units.scd file.

Of course using my example would also give everyone the chance to edit the files how they want them. So far the biggest problem has been explaining how to open the *.scd files. If the player had easier access to the files, they could ended up having the best control of all over the game.

Trainers are all about convenience. Even where there are cheat codes for a game, many people prefer a trainer as hitting one key is easier than hitting [~] -- typing in a code -- hitting [~] again ... and having to do that multiple times in the middle of their game.
I read the sample LUA code in the mod.scd and the samples are very minimal. its hard to learn how to do it just from the samples
So if anybody know about a guide to moding the game by creating LUA scripts please let me know where to find it.
I already saw the one in supremecommaderhq.com and its just a generic LUA script tutorial. it does not explain how to do it for Supcom
Thank you. Keep up the good work PWizard
