okay well it kind of sucks but the most points you can take off is like nine but i find the spells that work the best are any duos or trias you have however do NOT use flipendo duo/tria because it sucks and does not take off anything try to find some potions like pumpkin pasties wiggenwelds and wiggenweld grands if you can get some but after you are happy with the amount you have save immediately after do NOT go into battle before saving right before trust me if you do not and you lose you will lose everything that you had it's a bad idea if you lose you have to go back to the very beginning where you fight the devil's snare and such but if you passed it the first time you can again right try not to get too frustrated
