    Actually, you're wrong Shadow..

The driving skills would still apply to the PS2... BTW it's PS2 he wants, not PSP ...

Anyway, with the Canyons, you might not have a fast enough car...In drifts, use drift wheels, and Oversteer on Suspension...

If you need help with Drifting, go ask the DK (you'll see him posting often on this Carbon Board)

for drift release the acceleration and touch the opposite turning button to stablize but try to keep to the inside it is easier to stablize from there muscle cars are the best for drifts
as for canyon races learn the apex rules for corners because of the different types of cars there is different fall backs
muscles can not turn easily but have good acceleration so slow down hit the apex and exit at top acceleration
exotics top speed is vital with apex you need to enter at top speed brake turn then exit at top speed
tuners dont need to brake much but hitting the apex saves valuable time because they are slow at accelerating making keeping up easier. keep on their tail but dont touch them you'll lose 5000 points and keep tp the inside or middle on corners with yellow and black barriers to get past them your car must be quicker round corners and tighter muscle cars are better for this the weight gets the car to throw itself round the corners and acceleration is better too

i set the tires to grip because then you won't hit the wall as easy, using the ZO6 is a good choice for canyon racing, i beat darius by passing him with the ZO6, good car for tier 3 and fun to drive at the same time

D'oh!!! Still, can't help him much there. (that's because I don't even know how to brake in PS2. )

You need to become familiar with the games mechanism. Just to give you a better frame of mind, the car's senstivity level increases by almost 200% in drift mode compared to the city races. So your objective is to harness the sensitivity and somehow twist it into your advantage.

Firstly, you need a STOCK tier 3 tuner and select the Kimei Temple drift track in the downtown area. Set yourself gentle targets and then work your way up. Aim for a 25,000 overall score. When acheived, aim for 30k, then 40k, then 50k. Eventually to become good at drifting you have to aim high, like 250k overall. THEN tune it up. here you should get 250k easily, so now aim for 400-500k. Once your at that level, you should have no problems.

And if u feel REALLY confident afterwards, beat my score in kimei temple of 3,586,889 with a viper SRT10. Its not easy, but its makeable.

    Hope this helped
