Medieval 2: Total War Message Board  

I know u guys have probaly heard this all before but out of the timiruds, aztecs, monghols and papal states can I unlock and how do i do it?

You need to edit a file called descr_strat.txt which is found in ……\data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign. But before you do, make a backup of it somewhere safe first.

Open it up and move all the factions out of the “unlockable” section into the “playable” section. The ones in the “nonplayable” section must stay where they are or the program will become unstable and crash. You should end up with it looking something like this…..

but the mongols, papal states and such are below that says Nonplayable... so, you can't actually unlock them?

Juat move them over to playable and you can select them.

just like he said, it crashes when people choose papal states.

Just download one of the many mods out there and they will have it. If you dont want much more than just that I'd suggest the Custom Campaign mod.

Wheres the file to turn unlimited ammo on?

I know its somewhere in 1 of teh files and thx for the location to unlock all factionz

Unlimited ammo? You mean for arrows right?
