Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne Message Board  

Yeah, Max Payne is one of the best gaming series that I have played for this generation of consoles (PS2, Xbox, GC). The main aspect that intrigued me was the way that the story was presented in a comic book style format while the scenes were acted out - it fit so well with the overall game. Max's constant metaphor spewing kept the dialogue interesting as well.

I originally played the first game on PS2 which I found very good despite the graphical degrade on that system. I also got the sequel for PS2. The seqel wasn't too bad on PS2, but the first game was just... Once I got the Xbox, both Max Paynes were the first two games that I got - needless to say, I had been waiting to play them the way they were meant to be played.

Jackal, have you played the GBA version of the original Max Payne? I found it quite surprising how well that game plays. It has a pseudo 3-D view, but it feels just like you're playing the original game. All the cutscenes are still in tact also. It's a very underrated version.
