After you have completed all the areas in the game then you can find and defeat all the dark aeons. Use yojimbo and use zanmato by giving him alote of gil. After you have killed them all go to the airship and there will be a new place callled Penance. Go there and you will be on the airship where you fought evrae. If your not then walk up to the area and then you will see a boss. The last and secret boss Penance. He's very difficult and I am telling you this is practically impossible and I can't beat him without yojimbos zanmato so use yojimbos zanmato to beat him. He has 12mil HP and his arms have half a mil each and if you do try and kill him with fprce then watch out for judgement day.

Yeah, Penance is the strongest, most difficult boss to fight in the whole game. His sheer HP makes him extemely hard, and the battle, if you fight it normally without Zanmato, will last you a long time and you'll end up with several characters dead.



Realistically you need armour with +HP, Break HP Limit, Triple Overdrive etc. on it and all the celestial weapons. You also need stats pretty much maxed out (ie. going around the whole sphere grid for every character, and even replacing empty nodes with HP, MP nodes etc.)

Otherwise just hope for a Zanmato...
