He is right, also, there are only 3 ways that Sonic could be in a game made by Nintendo..There are:

1. Sega buys out Nintendo and makes Brawl
2. Nintendo buys out Sega, and make Brawl anywayz, and puts Sega chars in it, along with the Nintendo ones
3. Sega and Nintendo both make Brawl, and put Sega and Nintendo chars in it...

And, I wouldn't imagine either one of them buying each other out, so it is either Option 3 or no Sonic in Brawl
