You need to become familiar with the games mechanism. Just to give you a better frame of mind, the car's senstivity level increases by almost 200% in drift mode compared to the city races. So your objective is to harness the sensitivity and somehow twist it into your advantage.
Firstly, you need a STOCK tier 3 tuner and select the Kimei Temple drift track in the downtown area. Set yourself gentle targets and then work your way up. Aim for a 25,000 overall score. When acheived, aim for 30k, then 40k, then 50k. Eventually to become good at drifting you have to aim high, like 250k overall. THEN tune it up. here you should get 250k easily, so now aim for 400-500k. Once your at that level, you should have no problems.
And if u feel REALLY confident afterwards, beat my score in kimei temple of 3,586,889 with a viper SRT10. Its not easy, but its makeable.
