"Can the Evolutionists explain a conscience (sp?...I think there are two kinds...but you know what I am talking about.)"

Conscience? Well, as it is the brain is a very complex part of the body, and I'm not a scientist so I can't really argue with you on that. However a conscience can probably be explained by evolution since individuals that could remember bad experiences (most animals can do this) and think into the future (not many animals can do this) would naturally be favoured because they could plan ahead and therefore gain advantages over others.

"Pretty much all you have to do is go to Church every Sunday and Holy Day of Obligation."

So..hang on, I thought there was something about having to believe in God in there? Oh, and Jesus, and creation, and all of that tommyrot about castrating your children (or am I thinking about circumsizing?).

    Im any case there's more.

"Don't the Mormons beleive that Jesus and the Devil are/were brothers? Correct me if I'm wrong of course."

I find that easier to believe than that God and Jesus are the same....but different...but of one matter...oh, have I told you about the holy spirit? Yeah, that's part of Jesus too, and part of God, oh yeah, they're the same...but they're different. Heh, makes sense doesn't it

    "How about Catholicism VS Protestantism?"

Protestantism wins hands down. Reason? They don't take orders from an Italian, that's why.

"After that...the Apostles were able to understand every language and when they spoke, every language understood them."

    Empirical evidence?

Oh...yeah....there must be people out there who go to Church, go to confession and don't believe in God.

Please. I'm pretty sure that believing in Jesus was a given.

What does that have to do with what I said?

And to explain what you said...I beleive you are talking about the Holy Trinity. Three persons in one God.

Think of it as a three leaf clover. All three leaves belong to the same stem. Each leaf is different, yet they are one in the same.

"Protestantism wins hands down. Reason? They don't take orders from an Italian, that's why."

The previous Pope (Jon Paul II) was Polish. The current Pope (Benedict XVI) is German.

And how does the Pope order the Catholics around? He isn't a dictator...

Well, at least nothing in their about the Apostles speaking gibberish...

Note the second paragraph were it mentions everyone hearing the Apostles in their own language...

"Well at least nothing in *there* about the Apostles speaking gibberish"

Go to a Christian Church and listen to them pray. Then tell me it's not jibberish. I've witnessed it before, but if you want an example that this does happen in real life, watch the movie "Borat." Horrible movie, but they do have that church clip in there. This jibberish stuff is real, people actually believe they can speak in tongues.

But tell me this, if I'm supposed to hear my own language from this, shouldn't I be able to understand it as English? That's why I believe that the Pentecost was bullcrap, or at least that anyone in a church who thinks they can speak in tongues is a true liar (oxymoron right there, lol).

    Please...

ok lets look at the evolutionary point, we know cavemen existed, they killed to survive, they didn't stop and think "oh poor animal" if we had a consience then we probably wouldn't have made it out of the stone age or we would all be veggies, when our brains developed we started to have feelings and emotions, but i think you will probably find that our consiousness began when people started to look towards religion and the commandments so i suppose they were a good idea else we would have total anarchy

"Errrm..well if that's how Cyborg feels, then okey-dokey."

Dunno about Cyborg but I have the same opinion as him and thats one way to explain it.

"Oh, so if a Catholic isn't loving and giving...we're going to Hell, right? Wrong."

    Did I say that?
    No.
So don't make up crap like that, it's getting irritating.

"This jibberish stuff is real, people actually believe they can speak in tongues."

Yeah, sure...people believe they can do it...but IS it for real?

"But tell me this, if I'm supposed to hear my own language from this, shouldn't I be able to understand it as English? That's why I believe that the Pentecost was bullcrap, or at least that anyone in a church who thinks they can speak in tongues is a true liar (oxymoron right there, lol)."

Well there is a big difference between someone actually being infused with the powers of the Holy Spirit...and talking jibberish.

I'd like to know where the jibberish part even came from.

"ok lets look at the evolutionary point, we know cavemen existed"

I'm pretty sure that some remains of frozen Mammoths have been found...but I'm not sure about the Caveman thing.

So unless you supply me with a link of actual documentaion of cavemen findings...I will see their existence as have to never had happened.

    "Did I say that?
    No.
So don't make up crap like that, it's getting irritating."

Ok, let me refrase the question.

If a Catholic isn't loving and giving...is he being a true Catholic?

    I would say yes.

Catholics aren't perfect. Some 'Catholics' are probably worse people than other Atheists...

Just because your 'Catholic' doesn't mean you have to be a perfect person...

"The previous Pope (Jon Paul II) was Polish. The current Pope (Benedict XVI) is German.

Of course he's an authoritarian figure, don't be ridiculous.

"Oh...yeah....there must be people out there who go to Church, go to confession and don't believe in God.

Please. I'm pretty sure that believing in Jesus was a given."

That's one of the problems. There's almost no doubt Jesus was historical, however there's no real evidence that Jesus was what is said about him. Look at the three stories about him in the Bible. They differ in so many ways that it's impossible to say that they can be treated as real proof for Jesus or anything he did.

    "The Link"

The Buble can be made to say anything, I notice that Christians only follow some parts of the Bible. If you're all so devout, why don't you follow everything to the word?

"Think of it as a three leaf clover. All three leaves belong to the same stem. Each leaf is different, yet they are one in the same"

With the difference that I've seen a three leaved clover while I have never seen the trinity.
