"Human nature is.....get rich, do whatever you want.....why would people who gave their lives to the church be any different."

It isn't any different, the human nature isn't anyway. However, love and fear of God lets people decide not to go with that nature. Free will. Remember that gift from God? It lets people choose to sin, but it also lets people go against their "human nature" which without, would probably make us more sinful.

PS: From now on, when someone tries to make a point based on facts (not opinions or logic, but facts) lets try to find a link first. People aren't going to beleive your word alone. Lets have a more reliable source ready.

They would be nicer because they wouldn't disturb other people by hanging up ornaments all over the place. I'm not saying crime would decrease if religion did not exist, I'm saying it would stay the same.

i'll just add to what ES said

You say people would kill more, and supposedly they dont right now because they're scared of god, and that is ridiculous, god's supposed to be all-loving, you cant have it both ways.

See, he says one thing, you say another. How can I be sure which is right? I can't, so I play it safe and say you're both wrong If two believers are disagreeing, its not a good message for those they wish to convince.

It's nicer because some people don't agree with their beliefs and would rather that they didn't force their opinions on us. Other religions might look out for people, but they don't (often) try to convert us. Are you likely to change your fundamental beliefs because you have been visited by a bunch of mormons? I don't think so, so the same applies to Christianity.

Embrace Christ my friends! Embrace him longingly and lovingly. Look deeply into those
sparkling blue eyes above that proud Jewish nose. Kiss him fully on
his accepting sensual lips. Feel the electric thrill as his
tongue darts inside your mouth, his beard coarsely rubbing across your
chin. Feel his manhood awaken at your embrace as he holds you even
tighter against his lean, wind burned body. Hear his breaths
become sharp and short as he nibbles on your ear. Lolling you head in
ecstasy, feel his hand snake up your shirt and caress your nipple.
Hear the muffled sound of his robe dropping to the floor before
he takes you by the hand and leads you to his bed...

I don't believe in God, but I doubt you can even walk into a church without bursting into flame.
