Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War - Dark Crusade Message Board  

It's really annoying that the tau does not have any turrets to defend there base with ( exception of strategic points ), is there any way using the corsix mod tool to take say a plasma generator an replace it with an eldar weapon platform ( or any other turret??? ), ive had a look but can't seem to find anything, any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

I think turrets would unbalance the Tau faction as they are powerful enough in terms of range and power as it is, although you could try looking for a unit mod or something.

I kind of done it, i changed my plasma generator with the eldar weapon fingy changed or added all the required data ( or what i could be botherd 2 do) lol the only problem is even though they shoot AND kill the enemy 4 me you can not see the gunfire its like invisible bullets lol ill have another look i might be able 2 fix it thanx enyway

I just copied the eldars turrets and made a copy for tau.

Youre going to run into a lot of trouble animating those generators.

lol to be honest it wasn't that much trouble it was quite fun! lol though i think ive rally messed up the game im gonna have 2 reinstall it cuz ive changed or deleted something on the bloodthirster i shouldn't have and now it doesnt want 2 work at all yay!! oh well im just curious but how did you copy the eldar turrets and do do a copy 4 the tau???

IS ANYONE HAVING PROBLEMS USING THIS NEW UNITS AND TURRETS CHEAT? I CANT GET IT TO WORK AND WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE WAS HAVING A SIMILAR PROBLEM AND MIGHT HAVE FOUND A SOULUTION TO THIS?

I'm having the same problem, being unable to get the modules online. Hopefully someone makes a 'info post' on the issue eventually.

I think Relic should release another expansion to the game with new units to all the other races, exept the Tau who would have a gun turret. Yeah, that sounds like a good solution.
