Im using an old trading link cable whatever but it wont work. Im tradnig between ruby and leaf green. Should i use the wireless cable. Is there something im doing wrong? Im using an SP and an Advanced. itll say

OMG! That is sooo obvious!! Here are four causes:

1. In leaf green you haven't got the ruby and sapphire as those allow you to trade to ruby and sapphire
2. In leaf green you are goin to the wireless link club
3. What do you expect?! It takes time!!!!
4. Your link cable is broken mate. Get a new one!!!

Either one of these are right so try them all

Sapphire cannot use a wireless connection. It is simply not possible.

Also, it will take time..wait untill it says 'player link with 2 players?' and then press A. If it still doesn't work then:

1. Reconnect the link cable, and try again
2. Refer to the manual
3. You have not got the Ruby and the Sapphire in Leaf Green, or you have not inserted them into the machine one Island One. Do so, then try again.

If nothing works? Get a new cable or something . Apartently though, you can still battle with Leaf Green...Yes, it is so annoying, being able to trade from Leaf Green to Sapphire . It annoys me...

yeah i got it. But about how long will it take to connect? And im not quite sure if you mean that i cant trade between ruby and leaf or sapphire and leaf. Can i? or do i need to get that thing on island one working? Is that after i beat the champion?

No, it is sometime after the 2nd last gym leader (the time you meet that guy on a speedboat)..But yes, only the ruby and the sapphire will appear after champion.

You MUST get the thing on island one working to trade leaf green to sapphire (you will need BOTH, not just the sapphire)
