no problem man I just thought I had done something wrong in the submission or had broken some kindof rule and thats why it was not being posted but had no feedback as to what rule I may have broken. Its all good. Is it possible to change the name of it to Gothic III CheatFaq 1.1? Instead of just "cheatlisting" as it does have a lot of info in there such as tutorials, faqs about the console and such- not just a simple cheatlisting of items and codes? With a description like:

-All items,codes, and cheat functions in English
-Console graphical fix
-Several tutorials on how to effectively use the debug cheat functions, windows, and more

Just those three decriptions for those who don't see the messageboard. Other sites will be jealous of this faq I think right now its probably the best one on the web anywhere so far. Unfortunately I am now playing NWN2 due to the fact that I just can handle the bugs in Gothic 3 right now.

Hello Gideon, great work on all of this man, a great help to us all! well i must say the console problem i had is now gone, i had reinstalled the game due to the white/black problem i was having, but it appear i have another issue with this game, i was just wondering if anyone or if you have seen it and if anyone knows a cure for it. Well i reinstalled the game and fixed the console (that's all) and i load into the game, everything seems fine, then i notice i am walking very slow, have no weapon left and that i can not interact with anyone or anything or even pull out my weapon/open my bags.

If anyone knows of this issue or how to solve it, any help is great help, thank you.

... it was the first paragraph "CONSOLE FIX for those with graphics corruption:
apparently for many the console does not recompile the console files within the pak files properly which cause all sorts of graphical console corruption (boxex where text should be, mirrored image of what you are looking at and other crapola- so here is the fix that will work for MANY:

Go to your GothicIII\Data folder and create and FOLDER EXACTLY like this:
_compiledImage

now inside the _compiledImage FOLDER create a FOLDER EXACTLY named this:

_Intern

Path should look like this then:

Gothic III\Data\_compiledImage\_Intern

Now start a game and the files with recompile out of the pck/pak files into that folder and you should notice some files in the _Intern folder- Those are the uncorrupted Console Files It may only work with a fresh install or uninstall-reinstall but give it a try anyway with your current game as it has worked for MANY, MANY people at the Jowood forums- INCLUDING ME!"

If you dont understand that, i don't know what to do, it's pretty simple, just make the two files and it's all good, it worked for me. But you might have to have a fresh copy of the game, a reinstalled version to possibly do it.

Correction: make the two FOLDERS- not files :P As far as your other problem goes, well, this game is so full of bugs, but thats a NEW one for me :/ I can tell you it has nothing to do with the console fix (as that just unpacks the console files so you can actually use it). Walking REALLY slow, sounds like the Slow-Mo Function debug key but who knows? This truly is BUGictha III. I would reintereate to Never EVER use the Razor trainer though. When in true debug mode check all those Debug keys that do various things. Maybe youhit one of them? One of them does analysis and memery testing and that can slow-mo a game also. Every console command is pretty much listed in that faq along with the keyboard shortcuts. Never hit F6 or F7 when cheatmode is set in the ini file. You may have inadvertantly hit a shortcut key to one of the debug commands (the full listing is in that faq- hell almost everything is in there).

Anyone use the GothicAssistant to remove the lens flares? It works It also tweaks the crap out of the game. Well, I say we just wait- a Long, long while until the worst bugs are fixed. And yes it will be a Long, Long time - several months probably- if not longer.

I wouldn't expect them to ever patch all the bugs. Gothic 2 still had heaps of bugs after a series of patches and the expansion.

Gideon, nice faq, but you could have done without the 2 extra completely pointless files in the rar.. I mean they take 0 space but it just makes you look like a complete asshat by including them, not to mention all your grammar and spelling errors. Next time just stick your credits in your .nfo instead of making pointless extra files with no content except the name. Good job minus the extra pointlessness. Everything can be covered in an .nfo as far as hosting rights, etc.
