I think you mean the carnivorous plant.

IIRC near the start you have to use plants above which will allow Cloud to spring over it.

Either that or you'll have to place insects in the fly traps which will close them making steps you can jump across.

Sorry but I can not remember the exactly what you have to do to beat the forest.

I do remember a few key elements that you need to do in order to finish it though.

1: Insects and frogs will close flytraps which will give Cloud a step to move across (insects will vanish once you put them in, frogs will pop out, after a few seconds the flytraps will open again).

2: If you are standing on a flytrap when it opens Cloud will be launched to a new spot (I think frogs will make Cloud move further than insects).

3: If you place an insect in front of a hollow tree (you'll hear a frog croak) a frog will jump out and eat it giving you a frog.

4: Bee traps will close carnivorous plants (will not open until you enter a new area).

5: Plants at the top of the screen with a pink tail will act like a spring which will allow Cloud to 'spring' to a new spot.
