The Ammo Belt doesn't give extra or infinite ammo, so, what does the Ammo Belt do?

It's just for looks. All the outfits in the game are just for looks...even the hearted boxers from what I hear.

Ya i heard they did something so i was happy when i got it. But then i found out it was just something neat. Sucks cause you waste time trying to get them.
