How do you conquer towns? do you have to obliterate the fort?
Its nice to be important, but its more important to be nice.

First you attack the fort with your ship/ships. When you have done enuf damage you will get a icon in the top of the screen, press F3 and you will go ashore. Then you will have to fight all the soldiers that are left garding the fort. A tip is to keep hiting the fort with grape after you get the icon, this will target the soldiers in the fort. Then when you go ashore you wont have to fight many soldiers. Hope this helps you out.
A motivated soldier, will cover the grenade with his or her body. There by saving the life of his or her fellow soldiers.
A unmotivated solder, will cover the grenade with one of his or her fellow soldier. Thereby saving his or her own life.
