This is pretty old but people asked if there was a way to play as the other chracters....so I decided to post this so you guys can play with the characters you wish to play as, with the character modifier created by GodShin. You can play as every character in story and in ko-op mode, such as Reptile, Sonya, Jax, Goro, Shao Kahn, ,Mileena,Kitana, Ermac and much more. Before getting started, if you don't know very well how to set up the AR look below for the steps:
1.Buy an AR from any game store for about 25 to 30 dollars 2.Put your Action Replay disc into your ps2. 3.Pick ''add new game''. Put in the games name. 4.Then it asks for the mastercode, enter it. 5.Then pick ''add new code''. Put in the code's name. 6.Then enter the code. And after you did that you put the cursoron the code and press the ''x'' button to activate it. Then press the ''start button'' and switch the action replay disc with your game when it asks for it, and press ''x'' to start the game with the code enabled.
Questions and Answers:
Q: I can't understand what some of the words mean in the codes, what's that about? A: Copy the word and translate the word from German to English at the google language tool
Q: What does Null mean? A: Null means that the code isn't finnished yet, it still needs to be edited.
Q: A lot of the characters have no moves and some don't move at all, why is that? A: Hacking is very hard so I really couldn't finnish some of the characters completly.
Q: When I start the game normally and play story mode, right at the loading screen it freezes, how come? A: It could be that the code is to hacked and can't run through the game correctly, so you can't really work with codes that do that.

hi ive inputed the codes to play as mileena kitana jade ermac ect and action replay says the codes have worked but when i go to play its still the normal character why havent they changed ?

Make sure you ONLY added one character code and a master code when you start the game. You can't start a game if you use more then 2 codes, the only 2 codes should be the character code and the master code.
check off the chracter code that you want to play as. Start the game with the code you selected. Go to singal mode and select either liu kang, scorpion, sub zero or kung lao. Once you choose one of them, you'll start the game as a different character(the character that you've wanted to play as). DON'T worry if your character is not on the chaeacter select screen, it's not soppose to be. The code is still running ...
If it still doesn't work, then you probably have the wrong version AR, or you input the wrong code.
