I'll get to the sourch today, I'm going to call Microsofts Xbox help line to find out for sure...I'll be in touch

I talked to Microsoft and they say it can be done so that answers that I guess, just use those memory cards...

    then try it

I already donated my old Xbox to my local Church.

    O.o

It would make a change from sermons I guess. Maybe people would start attending services. You're a sneaky guy.

Well after talking to a few game sellers in person it turns out you cannot convert your game files from the original Xbox onto the 360...which really f!ckin sucks...

I wanted to sell my Xbox and upgrade but it appears at least for the time being I'm going to hang onto it, I have a dynasty going in NHL 2004 (you can play up to 20 seasons), I'm only three in so I have a long way to go to say the least...I'm still going to buy a 360 regardless so it looks like I'll have both, for a while at least...then I guess I'll try to sell it.

This really sucks though, I'll tell ya the PS3 has certainly beaten the 360 in this department...I'm still loyal to Microsoft though, better games are better games...

Let me get something straight first...

I'm probley going to buy a 360 within the next week (I guess you could call it a Christmas gift for myself), now I was wondering who here bought the Xbox (Core System) rather than the standard one everone got? The reason I ask this is I'm not an online user and it seems like a big waste to pay all that extra cash for something I'm not even going to use but I want all my games to be backwards compatible...

    So the real questions are...

By buying the hardrive ad-on will that allow me to put my previous Xbox games onto the 360?

And what's the real difference between the two, can you still download music from your cd's onto it like the Xbox and be able to input them when you play your games?

Because with tax it'll probley come to like 450 or 470...

If I can save 100$ I want to, or should I just not even bother and go with the standard system even with me not using the XboxLive feature...please respond a.s.a.p thanks, Jackal.

Well I bought the Core system, only because I didn't trust the wireless controller, especially now that I have XBL.

P.S ES- What the hell is that supposed to mean?

How does it run??? And what are the features like???...Does the harddrive ad-on ensure backwards compatibility???

Just buy the damn thing already!

And no, a downside of the 360 is that the hard drive alone will not solve the problem.

Go to xbox.com for more info.

400$ is 400$ buddy...I'm just trying to get the best deal for myself...

I guess I'll ask the guy when I buy it...if the Core System isn't backwards compatible and there's no way to get it that way say by buying the hardrive ad-on then it looks like despite me having no use for all the online stuff I'll be buying the standard system...

    Thanks regardless, Jacks
