I have an invincible toddler. That may sound cool, but it isn't. I had my two Sims, Ari and Nervous adopt a toddler from the Service. The Social Worker came and dropped the kid off next to my mailbox, on the ground. I had Ari try to pick him up, as soon as she bent down, she disappeared and then reappeared in front of the baby. I tried again, the same thing happened. In the time while I was pondering about waht happened, the baby needed a diaper change. I had Ari try to change it, once again she couldn't get close to it. The same goes for Nervous. It was also hungry so it started crying. I could not feed the toddler. I got the message about feeding it, then a few sim hourse later, Social Services came to take the baby away. Just like Ari and Nervous. So now I have a Social Worker fineing me for child abuse, two miserable parents, and a crying toddler! I got sick of this, so I (sadly) tried to get rid of the baby. Put it in a pool, it floats on the water, get it in a room of fire, it sits in the fire without harm, it also avoids electric shock. Now I have a Social Worker fineing me for child abuse, a crying baby, a fireman running around, two miserable parents, and I will have a busted computer if I don't fix this!

Sorry to break it to you, but you cannot kill of babies. They are the strongest of all Sims. They just cannot die.
Fire wont Burn them, Water wont drown them and Electrit shocks cant affect them. Strong baby, eh?

As for the not being able to pick her up, thats a glitch. Reload the computer and it should all be fixed.

This isn't a normal baby.

press ctl+shift+c and type in move_objects on
then click and delete the baby. go back to the neighborhood. DO NOT SAVE. then go back into your house and the baby should be fine. =]
