i would like to know what people think about which starting pokemon is the best. theres torchick > combusken > blaziken, mudkip > marshtomp > swampert, and treeko > grovyle > skeptile.

Treecko is the best, treecko evolves into sceptile which has the more speed than blaziken, if the all have maxed out stats, and hold items, sceptile will be faster. SCeptile can learn earthquake, so then sceptile can kill blaziken faster than blaziken trying to kill sceptile. Then sceptile can use leaf blade or solorbeam.

I agree. I have beaten the game with all of the starters, but Treecko was far easier. When I played I battled every trainer I could find. With Blaziken and Swampert the Elite Four were still hard to beat (it took me like 5 tries). With Sceptile I beat them first try and only had to use like 2 potions. So I would reccomend Treecko.

Torchic -> Blaziken The fighting/fire combo is awesome, maybe its just my battle style or something but I find Blaziken to be just right.
