I was devastated to hear Initial D was not coming to PS2 here in OZ, so when a cell shaded ‘anime inspired’ game came out I scooped it up without question. Firstly, the graphics and physics work marvelously well and the driving simulation side of it isn’t ignored either, it takes itself quite seriously in fact. The level of customization is almost endless. From designing your own decals in a ‘Microsoft paint’ type program to driving all the greatest cars Japan has to offer, this is a more rewarding racing game than most. You can really customize your own car as unique as you like. A great breath of fresh air in amarket drowned in racer clones.
