The guilds can be found in any town, but only in some you can be accepted. For example, The Fighters' Guild in Cheydinhal for fighters...

The fighters guild is in Cheydinhal.... You need to talk to Burz gro-Khash for admission

To join the Mages Guild you need to speak to one of the seven branch leaders (while you're in Cheydinhal joining the fighters guild you can speak to Falcar in the Mages Guild Building)..... You have to do Recomendation for each city to finnaly become a member....

To join the Dark Brother Hood you need to murder someone then sleep... a guy named Lucien Lachance will visit you and tell you, that you need to go to the Inn of Ill Omen and Kill a Man named Rufio... after thet sleep again and then go to Cheydinhal and enter the Abandoned house after that go to basement and go through door

To join Thieves Guild you can do two things..... one: go to waterfront and look at one of the wanted posters of the Gray Fox...... then talk to a beggar and he'll tell you where to go..... Meet Armond Christophe at the Garden of Dareloth and then do the Quest

The Arena isn't a guild but it's a good way to earn money and level up.... just go down to the Blood works in the District.. Arena in the Imperial City..... go down to the Blood works and just talk to Owyn and there you go

Murder is defined as killing someone who is not hostile towards you and is not a guard. So random people on the streets, ect. Be warned that killing beggars doesn't make you popular with the thieves guild.

Yes that is true.... do not kill beggers... but if you go into someone house and then murder them when they are asleep then it might not be such a problem if you are high level on blade or blunt and it is a powerful weapon
