can sum1 plz tell me how 2 get pass the wiggly tree near route 36?an is it just a shortcut 2goldenrod city or duz it lead sumwhere else?.....an i hav 2 more questionz,how do i get 2 route 37 and ecruteak city?

beat the goldenrod gym leader and go to the florist next door to the gym and tlk to both of da chiks.
one of em willg iv yoo a squirtbottle.
ake the squirtbottle and walk up to the tree and go to items in your pack and use it (its stored in the same place as fishing rods n bike)

Alright, I'm not getting this, lol. My brother just gave me his Pokémon Gold game, and I've been playing for about 5 hours, now. I'm at Goldenrod and all, and I did just about everything there is to do, so far. I beat the three gyms (including Goldenrod's), did the Farfetch'd thing, got Cut HM, went through the Park, and plenty of other things.. Now, I was also wondering how to 'beat' the Wiggly Tree, so I checked on the Internet, followed the guides, but to no avail.
See, this is my problem... Ok, now, I DID go throughout Goldenrod town, and I went in pretty much every building, talked to everybody, etc. When I realized that you need to get a 'squirt bottle' from the lady in the flower shop, I went back, even though I had already talked to both women... One just said something like: "Lalalala, lalalala, have plenty of water" while staring at the flowers she was watering. She didn't give me anything... At first, I thought I had just gotten the bottle already, and had forgotten I had it in my pack. But, after looking though everything in my pack, I didn't find any water/squirt bottles. Is this normal? Did I do something wrong, or in a different order than you're supposed to? I even tried going up to the wiggly tree and poking it (obviously, it just wiggles, lol) and I also tried looking through the items in my pack, and using them on the tree, but nothing works. Hopefully, I'm just being very noobish, and it's really easy to solve my dilemma.
Lol, I'm a little lost at the moment, and I want to get out of Goldenrod and do more [interesting] things in the game.

Lol u did the same thing i did,ok what u do is go back 2 the red headed gym leader chick an make sure she gave u the badge an if she didnt w/u talk 2 her she'll giggle stupidly lol an say she 4got 2 then giv it 2 u,then go an talk 2 the flower chicks an they should deffinitly giv u the squirt bottle ask me or sum 1 else if u hav n e other problemz but i warn u! if u ask me lol just so u kno im a newb @ at the silver version 2 lol
