Black gets a 9 out of 10 in my books!!!!!
This is actually my first post anywhere,i decided to do it just to let you know about this great game.
This is probably the most fun i've had with a FPS in ages. The overall feel of the game is gritty and real,lining up headshots or even the view blurring whilst reloading,the 'reality' of a grenade(as in yeah grenades really do kick ass & lob one just right then shoot it in midair & watch the destruction!!!!!!!!! MMMMMMM) just little effects that add to the realism.
The AI in the game is great,the opponents will find cover,take potshots,or even move constantly depending on the type of foe. It did kinda bug me that it doesnt have a 'run' or a 'jump' button at first,but you soon realise that whilst having bullets literally raining down on you & your nice piece of cover is slowly getting blown away piece by piece, the last thing you're worried about is "damn i jus wanna jump up there!" lol Seriously,just about everything can be affected by bullets or explosions,from gas pipes bursting,to glass shattering,all vehicles exploding,shooting combustible liquids conveniently placed as cover for the poor fools to hide behind.
As for replay, the game has that "difficult & fun to play yet oh so satisfying factor" that you just wanna play it again anyway. I havent even unlocked Blackops yet but i've beaten it on normal & easy,just working through hard. I hope blackops is just so hard its gonna be ridiculously time consuming just to complete a level, but i'm a little worried that there wont be any health at all,just a single health bar you start with! That would really s#@t me to tears............but ya know what? I'd give it a DAMN good go anyway coz its that satisfying!!!!
Great game but a real shame it has no blood splatters. There are heaps of moments when a nicely displayed spray of blood on the wall or even a squirt or two woulda been nice, but then i guess because they are actually speaking a real language,& yes they do look like humans & it is so realistic it would never have gotten past the standards board or whatever you call it.
So daveblade enjoy,go get this game,and unleash all sorts of mayhem on dirty terrorists who really do need a giant can of whoopass opened!!!!
(Final thought- would be great if it came out on PS3 or xbox360 updated with gore option & super realistic damage effects. HMMMMMM one can only wait)
