actually, the elite has no disadvantage. the head may seem huge, but the headshot area is still the same on either spartan or elite. actual hitable head area is also the same, although not for melee attacks. of course, if their close enough to melee you, accuracy doesn't really matter, and your screwed anyways.

i play as an elite. the emblem is red/yellow ying-yang on a X. body colors are always camo'd. so if in industrial area, steel and dark grey. green and brown for coagulation. dark colors for backwash, etc.

Have you got xbl mate. cus all you here wen theres an elite on the other team is symathy. thay are sooooo easy to no scope. there head is more central, meaning looking at there chest is pretty much always a headshot, making it easier to hit than a spartans head as its up on this neck. They may look funky in a odd alien sort of way, but in my opinion they arent practical.

I think he either means in the one in halo 1 or the original spartan look (the first look)

they jazzed up the second suit of Spartan armour. Its face plate is different, and the segments on the main suit itself are different.

The helmet has the most notable differences. It looks more like a BMX crash helmet to me. (the first one)
