by marker do you mean the pink slip to the persons car when you get to choose from 3 things? (Sorry, I havn't had a chance to play my game a lot, i've only beaten the first dude on the blacklist so far)

Well, in total, there are 6 markers. The first three have "?"s on them, right? And they will give you the pink slip, or...other stuff at 'random'.

By 'marker', I mean one of those "?" markers. But, of course, that marker will be the pink slip to the blacklist member's car. Yush.

Hmm... that is a discarded theory in NFS fan sites dude. It varies in the save game. The program randomizes the marker series on the creation of the save game so not all will fall in that sequential order all the time.

I got an order 1,3,2,2,3,1,2,3,3,3,3,1,1,1 so the theory is falsified...

not true! the real patter in ALWAYS 2. the 2nd one is the the pink slip every time. I finished the game twice, and the 2nd time i finished it, i tried only the 2nd marker and I always got the rival car... for more info read my faq
