Iggy will bring back a treasure chest box if you do that.
You have to have a special word to open it though. Looks like you'll have to call Bess again.

Well, you have do to a LOT of things before you can get the pirate hat.
You're too far off for me to explain, I'd have to almost give you a whole walkthrough of the game in order for you to get the pirate hat right now. Sorry.
Is there anything else you're having trouble with?
