I just got sims 2 for Christmas and I was trying to download lots from thesims2.com webpage, for some reason I can't get them to download into my game. I did the elctronic registration and I also have a membership online. I tried downloading from another website and I need winzip, which I don't want because you have to buy it. I was just wondering if there is something I missed? Or if there is some trick? I'm not super smart with computers so please explain in detail.

Log onto thesims2.com, then download them into the download file of your the sims 2 file.
then double click it once you've saved it in and it will install. you don't need winzip from thesims2.com but it is free just click "download free trial" at winzip.com and when it says "you need to renew to a real account" click cancel everytime you open up winzip.
if you download content from modthesims2.com, that is a bit more difficult but I will explain to you how if you need help.
