How exactly do I use the parachute?

if you have one in your inventory you jump off a high building or a aeroplane and when it says "OPEN YOUR PARACHUTE" you simply press the O button for ps2. I dont know for xbox, sorry

oh ok. thank you, i was standing in the middle of the coldasack and i spawned it and it didn't do anything.

since this is a X-Box forum
jump off a building or out of a plane and press "B" whenever you want, but i would wait until you can at least see the terrain under you or it will take forever to get down, also watch the height meter at the bottom left of the screen to seen how high you are
