I would love the MC to get command of a squad of MC's.
I read 2 of the 3 Halo books. the first one is awesome.
It talks about how the MC's name is really John, and how there were about 25 MC's called Spartans. It also talkes about how some mission went wrong and the spartans were all wiped out, with the exception of the MC. I know Halo is about you (and maybe a buddy) against the game, but I would LOVE to get my hands on a squad.

at first there was actually about 100 spartans but most of them died in the Augumentations they gave them
and there all dead now except him so he cant lead a squad of spartans seing there all dead now
you obviously haven't read first strike. dr halsey and nine or ten other spartans survived on reach because the covenant didn't glass the planet completely, and missed the spot where they were staying.
i want to see:
more than one spartan at a time in battle
the ark
different goals: choose to save cortana, the earth, or the galaxy
more real-time things, like the chase at the end of the maw on halo
