I was just wondering, (1) what the difference between ruby/sapphire and emerald, and(2) what the difference between Fire Red/Leaf Green(gba) and blue/red/yellow(gbc)?

the differance between ruby/sapphire , fire red/leaf green and blue/red is the pokemon avalabe on the game for example on blue/leaf green you can't catch a growlithe because they are not in the game they are one of the pokemon exclusive to frie red/red. and emerald is like a directors cut of ruby/sapphire with all the pokemon from both games in it some where and it is slightly extended. it is the same for yellow it is a directors cut of red/blue but it is not extended.

He is right. And, one of the differences of emerald and ruby/ sapphire is that emerald is compatible with the wireless adapter while ruby and sapphire can't use the wireless adapters.
