I think roy can be better because of his sword, it flames up opponents and the critical spot of his sword is easier to land than marth's is. which means he does have more power than marth, thats obvious, but marth on the other hand is faster and excells in air combat so i think overall marth is better unless you prefer ground-bound combat.
