I started a new game and the fast research option crashed the game.
The strange thing is that I loaded a previous game save and in that the Fast research option worked ok.
Earlier in this thread someone gave a solution to delete the cache, did that mean delete all the files in the cache folder?It is better to give than to receive. -

There is one more you can do :
There is a shader folder in c:\Users\YourDir\Documents\Anno 117 - Pax Romana\shaders\
delete all inside that shader folder also this gets a new build after game start..

Please use the update notification system to report a game patch, update or to report that the trainer may not be working with the latest version of the game. If 3 or more reports have been filed, consider BOOSTING the priority of this title for a faster turnaround on the updated trainer.

OK, deleting this cache and shader doesn't fix everything, of course, but it does fix certain things. Sorry for all others !
